Oyster Farm Experience

Monday - Sunday low tide

Join Quandamooka guides for a hands on experience at Dindabilla Bay's working oyster farm. Guests will walk with native locals on low-tide across the farm and learn the sustainable oyster farming practices, learn how to shuck and indulge in 12 x fresh oysters.

 

Tour experience includes a return transport via ferry from Cleveland and return island transfer.

Optional extras include 6 oysters for $20, or 12 for $35.

Seasonal Farm & Cultural Experience

Learn and explore with our Quandamooka cultural experience. Native guides lead you on an educational tour of oyster farming and aquaculture interpretation within the Moreton Bay oyster industry. Deep drive into history, reef restoration and environmental interpretation. No fresh oyster tasting included (optional extra).

Tour experience includes a return transport via ferry from Cleveland and return island transfer.​

Deanbilla Bay Farm Walk

Make your own way to Oyster Street, Dunwich, and meet our native tour guides for the ultimate walking tour of Deanbilla Bay working oyster farm. This tour is ideal for people who are already on Stradbroke Island and are looking for a great way to spend a half day learning the local environment, practices and history.

 

Guests will walk across low-tide on the oyster farm, learn how to shuck and indulge in 6 x fresh oysters.

Optional extras include 6 oysters for $20, or 12 for $35.

We run tours Monday - Sunday, 7 days a week, during low tide.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

For the Oyster Farm Experience and Seasonal Farm Experience, guests are picked up from the Stradbroke Flyer terminal at Dunwich before a short drive to Adams Beach access via Otter Street. From there, guests walk out to Oyster Area 73 at low tide, experiencing a working oyster lease in Deanbilla Bay.

For the Deanbilla Bay Farm Walk, gets meet tour guides at Dunwich (you will need to make your own way here).

Please note that a moderate level of fitness is required, as tours involve walking on uneven, sandy, and muddy terrain, which not be suitable for those with mobility limitations.
